With products changing and evolving at the fast pace since records began, it is impossible to imagine the task of retail buyers managing vast product ranges and choosing the right products at the right time. We pride ourselves in being leading experts in our operating product categories and service to provide our customers with not just a physical product but a business partner who can provide reliable industry and technical information to allow the right decision to be made regardless of whether it may seem a profitable one for us or not (e.g. recommending a competitor product over our own if the situation requires it!).

Coupled with Philex Electronic Ltd in the UK, European customers are able to cherry pick the best supply option for their ranges whether small volume sources locally or large volume source from the Far East, all with consistent quality, service and account management.

Merchandising

We use our two merchandising labs to physically build displays of product and POP material before they are ever installed in-store, this allows for ‘right first time’ implementation of new ranges. Our studio then use our specialised planogramming software to create detailed plans which can be communicated to stores.

Own Label Sourcing

In an ever competitive industry such as electronics we understand the need our customers to invest in developing their own brands of product in a bid to prevent price erosion. With our 50% of Philex business being customer own-label products, our understanding of brand and product style guides, supply chain restraints and unique ethical requirements is industry leading.

Product Design

Product design has become even more important as a consumer buying factor since the likes of Apple, B&O, Jawbone, Nest and Sonos have set new standards in what acceptable product should be. This principle extends to all electronics from cables to speakers and even antenna. One of our strongest added value propositions is that of our internal products design recourses in both Europe and China. From concept to mock-up and even POS solutions, our product designers work closely with our commercial teams to take our customers on a journey to access unique and eye catching products without paying the expected premium prices.

Quality Control

Our own in-house QC team in China is managed independently from our commercial teams to ensure the maximum quality of product is provided to our customers and therefore the end consumer. Operating in four locations in the Far East, over the last 20 years the team has built audit factory systems both for quality management and ethical management. All of our partner factories are audited on a regular basis and the team are available to help customers’ predefined factories to make any necessary improvements. The QC team are also responsible for product inspection, our high quality inspections ensure any production problems are rectified before the product leaves the factory ensuring low return rates.

Technical Support

We take pride in the remarkable skill-set and knowledge of our in-house technical teams, and spend a great deal of time ensuring that this knowledge is up to date.

Available on the phone to troubleshoot, reassure and simplify the technology of any Philex product they will answer any question that a consumer may have.

E-Commerce Support

Philex is proud of its ability to support multi-channel retailers in making the most of their online operations. With a dedicated web team and drop shipment facility we are able to ensure retailers maximise their product listings online through accurate and rich content and provide various logistics options including drop shipment direct to consumers.
