Labgear was founded in Cambridge, England, over sixty years ago and its expertise was and is in developing and producing aerial and satellite reception equipment which has earned Labgear a reputation for innovation, quality, reliability and unrivalled customer service.

In June 2004 Labgear became part of Philex Electronic Limited, which was established in 1982, and is a dynamic and rapidly expanding accessories specialist supplying multiple retailers, distributors and wholesalers with a focused range of electrical, audio-visual, signal distribution and computer accessories. Labgear was added to the Philex portfolio with the aim of using Labgear as the trade division for signal distribution products, dealing directly with major UK Distributors.
